IMPORTANT NOTICE: As of July 10, 2008, The Cheesecake Factory restaurants temporarily stopped offering fresh jalapeno and Serrano peppers in all of our menu items. The Food & Drug Administration (FDA) recently issued an advisory linking the recent salmonella outbreak to these products. Although the FDA is not recalling these products, we removed these products from our menu at this time as a precaution for the health and safety of our guests and staff.
On June 14, 2008, The Cheesecake Factory restaurants resumed offering fresh tomatoes in most of our menu items and in most of our locations and are using only red and roma tomatoes that are grown in the United States in regions deemed safe by the FDA.
We take food safety very seriously, and our guests’ health and safety are our top priorities. We continue to monitor all our produce and suppliers, as well as the FDA’s recommendations, to insure that our produce poses no health risks to our guests and staff. We will continue to monitor this situation and keep you updated should any new developments arise.
